Drilling Hits Rich Ore

On 2026-08-03, according to Miningnews.net, Caspin Resources reported strong drilling results at its Bygoo tin project in New South Wales and will estimate a new resource this quarter. A drill hole outside the Kelpie deposit intersected 20 metres at 1.79% tin, including 3 metres at 9.32% tin at a depth of 193 metres. The true thickness of the orebody has not yet been determined.

Resource May Increase

Earlier this month, drilling intersected 20 metres at 2.11% tin. The Kelpie deposit currently has an estimated mineral resource of 3.94 million tonnes at 0.5% tin, equivalent to 19,300 tonnes of contained tin metal. The drilling results indicate that the next resource estimate could increase by 50%. However, Caspin's target at Bygoo is to reach 50,000-100,000 tonnes of contained tin metal. Test work and previous mining indicate that the project's ore has very good processing characteristics and high recovery rates.
