According to company disclosures, Eramet has secured regulatory approval to resume operations at its Indonesian nickel asset following a four-month maintenance shutdown. The restart is linked to the second half of 2026’s RKAB production quota allocation, though the operator declined to disclose the exact authorized volume.

Management outlined a gradual ramp-up strategy constrained by contractor mobilization, machinery redeployment, revised mining schedules, and pending administrative clearances. Consequently, the company stated it cannot currently provide reliable forecasts for remaining 2026 tonnage, sales volumes, or ore grades, promising updated commercial guidance once operational stability improves.

The extended downtime has temporarily tightened physical nickel concentrate availability. As the site transitions back toward steady-state output, market participants will closely monitor whether the phased recovery translates into meaningful supply additions or remains limited by logistical and regulatory bottlenecks.
