Government funding

The Minister of the Interior of Rhineland-Palatinate visited Vulcan Energy's LEOP plant and Schleidberg drilling site on August 4 and formally committed up to EUR 17.2 million in state funding for the "zero-carbon lithium" project. This funding is part of a larger public funding program: the German federal government and the states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse are jointly providing EUR 103.6 million for the project, supporting an investment plan totaling EUR 690 million, or about 17.5% of the total investment.

Project progress

Vulcan Energy's lithium project has obtained fully funded first-phase funding, with support from two federal states.
