Project progress

On August 3, JCHX said during an investor survey that, according to the company's January 2025 "Feasibility Study for the Mining and Beneficiation Project of the East Zone of the Lonshi Copper Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo," the Lonshi copper mine east zone will adopt underground mining, with designed annual mining scale of 2.5 million to 3.5 million tonnes and a planned infrastructure construction period of 4.5 years.

Capacity plan

The mine is scheduled to reach full production in the fourth year after start-up, with a total service life of 12 years. To balance the service cycles of the east and west zones, the west zone will gradually reduce output after the east zone starts production, and the combined maximum annual underground ore output of the two zones is 4.5 million tonnes. After the east zone reaches full capacity, the combined annual output of the Lonshi copper mine's east and west zones will further increase.
