Core Facts

According to Kazinform, Solidcore Resources announced it will invest US$315 million in the Syrymbet tin deposit in the North Kazakhstan region, launching construction of a mining and beneficiation complex. Syrymbet is the largest undeveloped tin deposit in Central Asia, concentrating more than 70% of Kazakhstan's tin reserves. The deposit was discovered in 1985 and, under international assessment standards, contains 492,400 metric tons of tin at an average grade of 0.40%.

Projects and Capacity

At the end of 2024, Solidcore Resources acquired a 55% stake in Tin One Holding for US$82.5 million. The project is expected to create nearly 800 jobs after commissioning. Currently, the global tin concentrate supply shortage trend is evident, and tin prices continue to rise. Strategic demand for tin in the electronics industry, semiconductor manufacturing, and new energy sectors remains high. The development of this project is of positive significance for alleviating supply tightness.
