Manganese-silicon futures rebound but steel tender prices pressured; inventories hit record high for the period

On Thursday, manganese-silicon futures strengthened, with the main contract closing at 5,676 yuan/tonne, up 1% from the previous session, and open interest down 43,321 lots to 406,600 lots. A major Hebei steel mill launched an August tender for 21,100 tonnes at an inquiry price of 5,800 yuan/tonne, down 150 yuan/tonne from July.
