On August 2, 2026, Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal unveiled the growth strategies of each post-demerger company at the 61st Annual General Meeting, marking a new phase of growth for the group. Steel and Power Expansion

Vedanta Power plans to raise power generation capacity from 4,200 MW to 20,000 MW, with most of the expansion coming from brownfield projects, and will also enter nuclear power. After the demerger, Vedanta Limited continues to hold zinc, copper and critical minerals businesses, and plans to increase zinc and lead output from 1.3 million tonnes to 3 million tonnes by 2031, while doubling silver output from 700 tonnes to 1,500 tonnes.
