On August 4, Global Lithium announced that its Manna lithium project in Western Australia has received approval from Western Australia's Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration for its Mine Development and Closure Plan, ahead of the company's internal schedule. With approval, the company can begin early works and key infrastructure construction, including multiple open pits, a mine camp and supporting mining facilities, lowering project development risk and strengthening the integrated Manna-Nova development strategy.
Projects and Capacity
According to the company's plan, the Manna project is scheduled to make a final investment decision in Q4 2026, achieve first direct-shipping ore shipments in Q2 2027, and produce first SC5.5 spodumene concentrate in mid-2027. It is expected to become one of Australia's next lithium projects to enter production.
