On August 4, 2026, Xiangtan Electrochemical said on its investor interactive platform that its controlling subsidiary, Guangxi Lijin New Materials Co., Ltd., is conducting collaborative R&D with several solid-state battery companies on the application of lithium manganate in semi-solid/solid-state batteries. The work is currently at the validation stage and has made some progress, with a breakthrough expected by the end of 2026 or early 2027. However, it has not yet generated revenue and has no impact on the company's performance. The company also noted that competition in this business area is fierce, and the application of related materials depends on technology iteration and industrialization progress, creating uncertainty.

In addition, the company's capacity utilization for electrolytic manganese dioxide and lithium manganate is dynamically adjusted according to downstream demand. At present, all production lines are operating in an orderly manner, overall production and sales remain stable, and manganese ore prices have been relatively steady. The company said it will continue to focus on the manganese-based new materials track and actively explore technology routes such as new composite manganese-based materials. Capacity plans are subject to official announcements, and product demand in the second half of the year is expected to maintain a stable and improving trend.
